As the Communications Director, U.S., Kristin Gomez leads the U.S. Communications team in developing and executing a communications strategy which highlights PI’s programmatic activities to relevant U.S. audiences. She works to build a strong presence for PI in the US-China geopolitical, economic, and environment sectors.
Prior to joining the Paulson Institute, Kristin was the director of marketing and communications at World Business Chicago, the economic development arm of the city of Chicago where she promoted Chicago as a leading global city ideal for business both foreign and domestic, to relocate and expand.
A seasoned marketing and communications professional with a combination of public, private, and non-profit experience. Kristin led the global communications and marketing strategy for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a non-for-profit organization that supports the private equity industry from 2012-2017 and then as the Director of Content for PrivCap, a digital media company that produces thought leadership content for the global private capital market.
A Chicago native, Kristin also spent nine years in Washington, DC working in government affairs and strategic communications to help industries and businesses advocate and communicate their interests on Capitol Hill.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois and a certificate in public speaking from the Buckley School of Public Speaking in South Carolina.
