Jinsui Song is an Associate at the Paulson Institute, where she works on conservation projects with a focus on innovative financing mechanisms for nature and biodiversity. Prior to joining the Paulson Institute, she worked at Forest Trends with both the Global Water Initiative and the Ecosystem Marketplace team, where she contributed significantly to two flagship reports: The State of Investment in Nature-Based Solutions for Water Security and 2025 State of the Voluntary Carbon Market. Jinsui also served as a consultant at Shan Shui Conservation Center in Beijing, supporting corporate biodiversity performance research and consultancy. Her field experience includes three months in Chyulu Hills, Kenya, where she conducted ethnographic research with Maasai and Kamba communities to explore local perspectives on REDD+ project.

Before transitioning to the conservation sector, Jinsui was a Senior Associate in Deals Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong. She holds a master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a BA from Pennsylvania State University.
