On September 24, The Paulson Institute held a reception in Chicago to mark its first anniversary. The Institute team welcomed Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, U.S. and Chinese senior officials, and a range of intellectual, business, and community leaders to celebrate the Institute’s accomplishments and preview activities and goals for the year ahead. With remarks from Institute Chairman Hank Paulson, Mayor Emanuel, U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern, and Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission of China Xie Zhenhua, the event highlighted the Institute’s efforts to promote sustainable economic growth, job creation in the United States, and a cleaner environment around the world.
