Hortense Hallé-Yang serves as the Director, Special Initiatives in the Paulson Institute Representative Office in Beijing, where she supports the Chief Representative in the China office in effectively managing the priorities and special projects of the Institute.
Collaborating with teams across PI, she designs and coordinates cross-program initiatives and events to support the Mayors’ Training Program, Paulson Prize for Sustainability, and more.
Hallé-Yang previously advised various Institute programs in China – Race to Zero corporate engagement program, Paulson Prize for Sustainability, CEO Council, Sustainable Soy, and Annual Conference – in addition to overseeing project management and events coordination.
Prior to the Paulson Institute, Hallé-Yang consulted for China Greentech Initiative, where she managed events, set up the partner services department, led research and working groups on sustainability and sustainable industry, and coordinated departments for the program as a whole. Hallé-Yang started working in Beijing in 2003 as a brand manager for a French dairy company, then set up an art and culture consultancy.
Hortense Hallé-Yang holds a Master in Marketing and Communication from the ESCP Europe Business School, and a dual B.A. in Chinese Language & Civilization and International Trade from the Institute of Oriental Languages in Paris.
