Hae Jeong Cho is a Research Associate at MacroPolo, the think tank at the Paulson Institute.  Hae Jeong’s research is focused on the energy sector and ongoing global energy transition issues. Through her research, she works as part of the MacroPolo team and across PI to present compelling analysis and commentary on these topics.

Prior to joining the Paulson Institute, Ms. Cho worked in the Maritime Project Finance Department of the Export-Import Bank of Korea on financing and official development assistance in the shipping industry. She also worked at the California-China Climate Institute where she focused on California’s climate and air quality policies and explored the challenges and opportunities China faces in implementing its climate policies. Hae Jeong holds a master’s degree in development practice from the University of California, Berkeley and bachelor’s degrees in economics and English from Seoul National University in Korea.
