Andy Morimoto is Director of Research in the Office of the Chairman. In this role, he manages a wide range of research and writing activities for the chairman, former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr., on topics including US-China economic and environmental relations, the US financial system, and the US economy more broadly. He additionally supports Secretary Paulson’s leadership of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group. He previously conducted research and analysis on trade and the global economy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He earned a MA in international relations from The University of Chicago, and a BA in political science and history from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he graduated summa cum laude. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
