Paulson Institute-Great Lakes Governors Partnership

Working with the Council of Great Lakes Governors, the Institute is honing strategies to help match investors and recipients to sectoral opportunities. Work is also focusing on how to connect Great Lakes-based R&D and innovation to foreign deployment opportunities while opening markets in China. The Council includes the governors of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, as well as the Canadian premiers of Ontario and Quebec.

bildeIn July 2014, the partnership hosted a Competitiveness Forum featuring Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Hank Paulson. The forum focused on the challenges and opportunities inherent in foreign investment in regional manufacturing as well as issues specific to the Great Lakes region.
